1.3. Maksud dan Tujuan Penelitian

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengungkap hubungan timbal balik antara faktor-faktor yang mendahului (precursors) yang mempengaruhi kualitas hubungan atasan-bawahan seperti ketertarikan atasan kepada bawahan (liking), kemiripan persepsi (perceived similarity) atasan-bawahan, kemiripan demografis (demographic similarity) dan dampaknya terhadap peringkat prestasi kerja bawahan melalui kepuasan kerja dan komitmen bawahan, dengan tujuan:

1. Mengetahui pengaruh kemiripan persepsi dan kemiripan demografis atasan-bawahan terhadap ketertarikan atasan kepada bawahan

 

2. Mengetahui pengaruh kemiripan persepsi atasan-bawahan, kemiripan
demografis atasan-bawahan, ketertarikan atasan pada bawahan terhadap kualitas hubungan atasan-bawahan.

3. Mengetahui pengaruh kualitas hubungan atasan-bawahan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan

4. Mengetahui pengaruh kualitas hubungan atasan-bawahan dan kepuasan kerja terhadap komitmen karyawan

5. Mengetahui pengaruh kemiripan persepsi, ketertarikan atasan kepada
bawahan, kualitas hubungan atasan-bawahan, komitmen dan kepuasan kerja terhadap peringkat prestasi kerja karyawan.
